Q & A
Before the session, you can decide if you wish to be woken or left to sleep. A gentle tap on the shoulder or lower leg may be used to wake you (with prior consent).
The session will feel fast if you are asleep, and you may not notice the sounds; however, the effects of the vibrations, frequencies and the session will still be felt by the body.
The session begins with a greeting at the studio entrance, followed by 10–15 minutes of meditation and gentle sound before a more dominant sound session. It ends with 5–10 minutes for a gentle wake-up and stretch. Each session is an hour long, with approximately 45 minutes of sound.
Absolutely, sitting can also be a good way to experience a sound session. You can still get cosy, close your eyes and fall into deep relaxation. There is the option to sit comfortably in the studio.
There is onsite parking on the driveway.
You are welcome to bring a sentimental item or comforter if you wish, such as a blanket, or a decorative piece that holds value if you wish to connect with this throughout the session. H do not have to bring anything but yourself.
During a sound bath, you may experience deep relaxation, a quietening of the mind, drifting thoughts, vivid imagery, memories, emotions or physical sensations. You might feel warmth, tingling, heaviness or lightness, or simply become very still and peaceful. Some people feel energised, emotional or reflective, while others may fall asleep and wake feeling refreshed. There is no right or wrong experience — simply allow yourself to listen, breathe and notice whatever arises, without needing to analyse or control it.
Wear layers, comfy clothing, something that will be comfortable to lie in for an hour. Most people wear loungewear, tracksuits, or similar; however, you are welcome to wear whatever you like. Please just make sure it is appropriate for the occasion.
